Mix FM Presents Armin Van Buuren in NYE-1 ( 2011)
At Biel Main Hall

Mix FM announced a masterpiece in the making on October 19th!
Promising an amazing ending to an amazing year!

But, that wasn't the case!

What you might not know is that we get our inspiration, our ideas and our plans from the Lebanese fans and we do whatever it takes to accomplish over the top results, we wait for the break of dawn every event to see the smiles on your faces because it means the world to us.

We did it back in 2009 and the plan was to do better! We don't recycle ideas because we're not that kind of people and we don't accept a same previous result even if it was astonishing!

After months of preparations and more than 3 weeks of staying at Biel's venue till wee hours, stressful hard work, tears, laughs and try-outs, Friday Dec 30th finally arrived!

As a team and a one big family, we made sure everything is going according to our plan.
Roger and Kareen wanted everything to be more than perfect because "just perfect" won't do the trick!

The show started with maDJam spinning his up-beat warm-up set.

Meanwhile, the pressure on the ticket sale booth was reaching a new high! Attendees, in QUEUES, waited for their tickets, miming Armin's tunes, wearing supportive T-shirts and they were so cooperative with our team.
Divided by two, My Mix team sold tickets at the door and at My Mix to make sure ticket holders get the best and the fastest treatment!

Blake Jarrel waited backstage, finalizing everything before performing and by the time he got on stage, the venue was FULL!
Fans were ready for the ride of the year!

Playing exclusive remixes, all-time favorite tunes remixed to serve the crowd's feet well, proving that such a night needs an off-the-hook measures!

Dancers were busy getting fabulous, rehearsing their choreography and waiting for their big intro!

Meanwhile, Armin was all smiles backstage, chatting with Mix FM, expressing his overwhelming happiness to be here again.

At 1.30 Armin was ready to take the lead with a new intro and our A-class professional light engineers were ready to play!

Hyped by Armin's OVER-THE-TOP positive energy, the crowd knew from the start they'll have the time of their lives!!

Our very own Lara, Ely and Rami brought the dancers/fire-showers to the stage and double checked that the next performance is all set!
Acrobats from abroad joined in later on for an AMAZING/MAGICAL show! And if you weren't there, you truly missed out because no matter how incredible the pictures look, it was 10000 times BETTER!

Goodie bags, distributed in the vip and vvip sections, monitored by us, connecting with the crowd, making sure everyone is happy with our signature party items!

Visuals and laser shows showing on the huge screens made fans star struck and amazed!

And one of the "soon to be a classic" moments was when Armin played the sugar-rush Marco V remix of Mr. Brightside! An accapella intro with just Brandon Flowers's edgy voice to twist it by an electro beat as the first verse starts!

Playing classics, fresh and memorable tunes, Armin was thrilled to be in Lebanon that he left the decks and climbed above the DJ booth to dance and sign autographs!

Balloons and Confetti fell down from two HUGE bottles of champagne while dancers, acrobats and fire-breathers entertained the crowd!

Before leaving the stage, Armin played the 2 tracks chosen by you guys a week ago on Mix FM Lebanon as "All-time Favorite's", "This Light Between Us" and "In and Out of Love", giving his fans the chance to sing-along.

The Number One DJ thanked the crowd for their sizzling welcome and Mix FM's Amadeus took the stage for the closing set.

Armin said his goodbyes to our team, promising to comeback as soon as possible, saying that it's always a pleasure to play and connect with his Lebanese fans every single time he comes for a visit!

We locked 2011 in our archives drawer and started penning down an amazing year ahead!

THANKS to Chris for directing the door operation, Graziella for taking care of everything needed backstage, Antoine for his hard work down at the venue, and Christina for inspiring and leading the photographers!

And THANKS to each and every one of you for spreading a far from usual positive energy and great feedback!
